  • I have watched this video and a lot of the others and have been able to follow and learn a lot about using the Dream Motion Pro software. These video’s and especially the printed instructions make using the software so much easier.

  • Where is the How-To video for learning the Zone to Zone quilting with just the Dream Motion Software and NOT the Dream Motion Pro. Pictures of what I have seen do not align with my software. For instance I do not have an EZ section. How do I find an instructor in my area? The quilt store where I bought the package is not helping at all. Very disappointed and frustrated!

  • I’m trying to quilt in rows and I have the 10 foot frame. It’s like the motion pro software thinks that it’s still on the dream frame instead of the dream frame pro which is 10 foot in the dream frame is just the 5 foot compact. It wants me to reposition the quilt and I have plenty of space. Why won’t it let me quilt a wider zone to make it all the way across

    • Hi Mary,

      Thanks for reaching out!

I see that you have two quilting questions from two different blogs so here is what I can tell you –

First, I would highly recommend the software is updated to the newest version. The new version will have you choose a frame type and has the smarts to break up a zone properly depending on the frame.

For Question 1 ( I have the ten foot frame, when I set the safe zone do I use the full width of the frame? This is in regards to blog post http://blog.brothersews.com/quilting/the-dream-motion-software-select-sew-safe-area-choosing-pattern/) With the 10 foot frame, you will want to set the safe area to the fabric on the frame. Move the machine to the top left as far as you can go without going off fabric. If the backing and batting is larger than the quilt top, then go off onto the backing a batting but not off the fabric.

Question 2, the software update will resolve this.

      Hope this helps!

      Happy Sewing! (and quilting!)
